NAME: “Mad One”
COUNTRY: USA!
CITY/STATE: Phoenix,Az.

1)What Purpose is your message and/or purpose of your art?
I try to inspire and raise the bar every time I do something. If I can do either one of those things while being creative, then I have accomplished something that day.

2) How did you choose the media and materials you create with?
Really it just came down to experimenting with them and really wanting to do more hands on multimedia pieces. I think what really turned me towards that is getting bored with “Graff” and being where I’m at no one was really up on the street/urban art anywhere throughout the city. So thats when I was really motivated to start pushing it and exposing the new movement.

3) What is the hardest part in your creative process?

Having to many ideas and picking which one I should execute when I sit down to create a new piece/canvas. I literally have a book full of ideas…So you should see new stuff coming for days now, I just have to allow myself the time to focus and create.

The positive interaction I get from those who appreciate EVEREMAN is most inspirational.

2

5)What personality traits are reflected most in your work?
I believe there is power in giving and that cooperation yields better results than competition. I hope that comes through in what I do.

***BONUS QUESTION***
Do you ever think of the moral implications of a particular message and images you may put out?
Always. Most of what I do is “friendly”. In other words, I use magnets, wire hangers, stakes driven into the ground etc. Ways of being out and in that street that leave no trace. Street art, in itself, is a form of civil disobedience. Mine is a peaceful revolution.

Stick On Haring! wants to render homage to the artist Keith Haring in memory of the 20th anniversary of his death.

Keith Haring was an American painter and writer. Haring’s work represents the street culture of 80’s in New York. Keith Haring died of AIDS on February 16, 1990. He was 31 year old. Although the premature death, Haring’s imagery has become a widely recognized visual language of the 20th century.

In occasion of the Festival Multiarte liberARTI June 26, 2010 in Montaione (Florence – Italy) will be exposed some shapes that reproduce the famous Haring’s colourful figures. The people who are going to be join this event will be able to have a chance of participating actively, they will be able covering from live the Haring’s models with stickers which are coming from the artists all over the world. The shapes transformed from the people in 3D combo sticker, are not only a homage to Keith Haring, but want to represent also the path that the street art has undertaken from 80’s years eighty until our days.

Successively the combo-shapes that will be produced during the event Stick On Haring! will be cart around and photographed in places symbol of Haring in Italy (like in front of the graffito Tuttomondo in Pisa) or in other events and exhibitions in memory of Haring. In fact Stick On Haring! will not be the single event that the Italian alternative art will dedicate to the New Yorker artist, but other initiatives will be realized and will be concluded ideally with the next exhibition of “Stick My World” on September 12, 2010 in Rome (Italy).
